Lomma Sailing Start 2014

Lomma Sail Club offically opened the boat season on May 1. Lomma is located just north of Malmö, in Öresund.

Per Erlandsson, club president, held a short opening speech. The band played and the traditional herring breakfast was served.

The first weekly Thursday sail competition of the season was held in the afternoon. These are some pictures from the competition.

The winds were light and variable. Warm for the season, almost 15 degrees C.

Lomma is directly over the water from Copenhagen. The chimneys in the back
are from a power plant in Copenhagen, about 15 nautical miles from Lomma.
